Wilson welcomes upturn for construction industry
Sammy Wilson has welcomed the news that there has been an increase in the number of ‘new builds’ in East Antrim over the last 12 months.
The East Antrim MP said;
“Newly released figures show that in the Jan –March 2011 period there were 34 new build starts for residential dwellings and this is up from just 13 in the quarter before that. What we are seeing is an increase in this part of the construction industry and if these trends continue there will be a very considerable increase in the number of new builds compared to last year, when just 87 were started in the 12 months leading up to March 2011.
